Gain the proper skills to be a viable candidate for product design positions in a short period of time.
My Approach
Switching careers is no easy task. While I recognize my visual design background provides some great transferrable skills, the inescapable fact is that UX/UI is a different path. In addition to reading several UX Design blogs, I’ve started taking different online courses to equip myself with the proper tools to thrive.
I sourced this project brief from Complete Web Design: From Figma to Webflow to Freelancing. This course has been an incredibly insightful resource from Awwwards Academy. Mainly because it includes developing real projects, from start to finish.
Next Steps
To continue my education, immediate next steps are to continue this course, complement with a few shorter sessions from LinkedIn Learning, and finally enroll in Grow with Google’s new Google UX Design Certificate.
